Kinder pups class.

From the time that puppies open their eyes at 13 days until 16 weeks, there is a critical period of socialization. This period is extremely important because it is when the puppy is growing its brain and creating permanent connections. The experiences that a puppy has in the first 16 weeks of its life will shape the kind of dog he or she will become. Allowing your puppy to experience the world during this critical time, and learn about different people, objects, environments, sounds, sights, and animals will allow them to grow into well-rounded dogs who are comfortable around many different things. Everything that you do with your puppy during the socialization period is shaping your dog's future behaviour.

Pre-kinder Pups and Kinder Pups are heavily focused on setting your puppy up for success for the rest of its life. Your puppy will learn basic foundation behaviours such as sit, down, come, stay, loose-leash walking, and leave it. Puppies will also experience new sights, sounds and experiences through puppy play time, interactive activities with people, and a changing classroom environment.

Reactive rover.

Does your dog lunge, bark or growl at other dogs or people when on leash? If so, this class is for you! You will learn how to change your dog's emotional state from fearful to calm in the presence of other dogs and people. This class will be held primarily outdoors so we have space to work through desensitization and counter conditioning techniques. All dogs must be 5 months of age or older and up to date on vaccinations.

Please note, the first class is a 90 minute non-dog orientation in which we will be going over a lot of information, practicing the training mechanics, and learning how the training process works. The following classes (2 - 5) will be 60 minute sessions with your dog.

Length of class:

One 90 minute human only orientation and four 60 minute classes with your dog (total of 5 classes).
